Spring on a tropical island

There is no distinct season on a tropical island.

Yet, I have recently observed the pre-spring phenomenon known as 三寒四温 sankanshion, which is a cycle of three cold days and four warm days.

Although the temperature change is more subtle here than in temperate countries, it is indeed interesting to observe that the same laws of nature that govern the arrival of spring are at work on this tropical island.

Spring is a time when most flowers bloom.

Let’s take some time to smell the flowers…
